In every part of the world, more and more people have access to mobile technology, internet, and social media. These factors change how we communicate, as in real time we can connect with, support, and pray for brothers and sisters in any part of the world. We will hear stories of how MWC and churches in different places are using social media in positive ways to connect the global community and support and learn from each other. This is an interactive workshop with time for feedback, group discussion, ideas, and suggestions.
Kristina Toews works with MWC web communications and is the MWC Social Media coordinator. Following Pennsylvania 2015 she will begin in the role of MWC Chief Communications Officer. Tigist Tesfaye Gelagle is the African representative on the MWC YABs committee and is involved in teenage ministry and training youth leaders in the Meserete Kristos Church in Ethiopia. She works with Compassion International Ethiopia as a livelihood expert.
